The grass block is one of the most common block in Minecraft.However when you break it will give you dirt and after some time( if exposed to sunlight) it will turn back into grass. If you have a tool with Silk Touch Enchantment( I  will explain this later) then you will get the grass block immediately.It has no use but is good for shelter( but is prone to explosions) and can be used to reach high places.You can make farms(I will explain this later). The colour of the grass is different with every biome( I will explain this later). If sheep eat grass they will regrow their wool.
